Wendell Wayne Weger

Wendell Wayne Weger, 64, of Gurnee, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on September 12, 2023. He was born on January 18, 1959, in San Francisco, CA. 

Wayne loved spending time with his family, especially getting together on the holidays. He really enjoyed his time traveling in Europe while serving for the US Army. He also enjoyed riding his Harley, muscle cars, the outdoors, going fishing, and taking care of his flowers. 

Wayne is survived by his three loving children, Jessica Marie Weger, William Wayne Weger, and Melissa Ann (Alexander Magnuson) Weger; his adored granddaughter, Chloe Rose Magnuson; his dear friend, former wife, and mother of his children, Theresa Ann Weger; stepfather, Edward Sehr; sister, Sharon Moon; nephew, Jason Kingsland; his girlfriend, Kelly Rodriguez; and many friends from Bethel Lutheran Church and Love INC. He was preceded in death by his #1 best friend, his beloved mother, Norma Lee Sehr; and his cherished granddaughter, Chelsea Marie Ann Weger.

A celebration of life memorial service will take place at 4:00 pm, with a celebration gathering from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm, on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 5110 Grand Avenue, Gurnee, IL with the Rev. Dr. Ben Squires officiating. A luncheon will be held at church after the services, and will be provided by the Bethel Church Family. Interment will be held privately.
