Thomas Lyle Cartwright

Thomas "Tom" Lyle Cartwright, 66, of Beach Park, passed away peacefully July 27, 2023, with his family by his side, after a three year courageous battle with cancer. He was born February 10, 1957, at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan, to the late Donald and Patricia (Tallman) Cartwright. On June 12, 1982, in his parents backyard in Zion, IL, Tom married the love of his life, Tina Marie Roediger.

Tom worked and retired in March of 2022, after more than 30 years of service with Rehrig Pacific Company in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Tom was very smart, loved being on his computer, and did not go anywhere without his iPad. He was an active person, enjoying many adventures with his wife and family including canoeing, hot air balloon rides, fishing, playing video games, and went skydiving and zip-lining many times. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Tina Marie Cartwright; his two daughters, Patricia "Trish" Cartwright and Lucinda "Cindy" Sanders; grandchildren, Bailey (Laura) Eddy, Brooklyn (Lesther) Chua, Brayson Sanders, Bella Sanders, and Lucy Cartwright; sisters, Barb Varsek and Jill (Ken) Turman; sister-in-law, Carolyn (Steve) Olsen; brothers-in-law, Ken (Cindy) Roediger and Timothy Roediger; nieces and nephews, Sherri Jo (Dan) Ballard, Chris (Rachel) Varsek, Dyanna (Cody) Uchiek, Diana (Gordon) Pullar,and David (Melissa) Roediger; and many great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his two sons, Michael Patrick Cartwright and Thomas Adam Cartwright; two granddaughters, Brittany Eddy and Madison Cartwright; and brother-in-law, Vince Varsek.

A celebration of life will take place on Sunday, August 13, 2023, from 3-6pm, at Birchwood Grill, 7515 - 125th Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53142.
