He was born July 22, 1960, in Kenosha, WI, graduated from Tremper High School in 1978, and spent the majority of his life in Gurnee, Illinois. He followed in his father’s footsteps to become an electrician and eventually an estimator. He retired in January, 2020, after working incredibly hard for 40 years.
Tom enjoyed flying, drag racing, boating, and riding motorcycles. And when he wasn’t moving fast, he liked to slow down with golf, fishing with his brother, reading, and watching movies. He especially loved seeing his granddaughters and bringing them gifts; spending quality time with his youngest daughter shopping for antiques and listening to live bands; and visiting his siblings around the country, especially when he was able to travel to Hawaii and catch a 120 lb yellowfin tuna. His other favorite place to go every year was Oshkosh with Angie for the EAA AirVenture air show. Although he was a bit stubborn and set in his ways sometimes, his family and friends remember him as being very generous, caring, and thoughtful.
Tom is survived by his two loving daughters, Nicole (Aaron) DeLassus and Samantha Bock; two granddaughters, Violet May and Stella Rose; and another grandbaby on-the-way; his mother, Donna Bock; step-mother, Doris Bock; brothers and sisters, David (Jan) Bock, Janet (Terry) Gray, Kathy Bock, Danny (Jennifer) Green, Dennis (Jackie) Green, Debbie (Thomas) Freeman, and Denise (Derrick) Ritter; his friend and close companion, Angie; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, William Harold Bock in 2017.
