Thea Gertrude Smith

Thea Gertrude Smith, 91, of Waukegan, formerly of Highland Park, passed away peacefully at home on September 15, 2024. She was born on January 4, 1933, in Berlin, Germany to the late Hans Werner and Dora Katharina Gabriele (Wiedewald) Jaeck.

Thea is survived by her loving family, one son, Pete Smith; three granddaughters, Amber (Aaron) Adams, Samantha Smith, and Anastasia Smith; three great grandchildren, Isabella Adams, Hailey Adams, and Alexander Smith; one brother, Peter (Marianne) Jaeck; one nephew, Gerrit Jaeck; and one great nephew, Vincent Jaeck. In addition to her parents, Thea was preceded in death by her beloved husband of many years, John D. Smith.
