Sylvia Emily (Johnson) Tolstad

Sylvia Emily Johnson Tolstad passed away peacefully at the age of 90.  She is survived by her children Ellen (spouse Roy) and Tom as well as 3 grandchildren and one great grandchild.  Sylvia lived a long and full life.  She enjoyed gardening, swimming, dancing (of all kinds), skiing and bike riding.  She was active her entire life and was cycling and swimming regularly well into her late 80’s.  She was able to live independently all her many years.  Staying in her own home and walking through her garden brought her joy.  Her family would like to express appreciation for the gentle and respectful care offered her by the Rainbow Arc Hospice unit at Resurrection Hospital.  Arrangements entrusted to Sambrano Funeral & Cremation, Gurnee, IL.  Please sign the online guestbook at LauraSambranoFunerals.com; 847-571-7719.
