When her family and friends think of Sofia what comes to mind was her love of music, singing, theater, and all things creative. When she didn’t have her nose stuck in a book she could be found surrounded by mountains of sketchbooks and journals where she wrote her poetry and short stories. Sofia loved and cared so strongly, never afraid to say what was on her mind. An intelligent, unique, kind, and passionate daughter, sister, niece, and friend, she will forever hold a very special place in all our hearts.
Sofia is survived by her mother, Maria Martina Maldonado-Wexler, father, Steve Wexler, sister, Valeria Rios-Maldonado, brother, Daniel Wexler, and furry friend and dutiful companion, Milo, as well as extended family and friends. She touched us and will never be forgotten.
