Shirley Marie Schneider

Shirley Marie Schneider, 91, of Montgomery City, MO, formerly of Zion, IL, went home to be with the Lord on August 10, 2020, at JourneyCare in Barrington. She was born on May 26, 1929, in Chicago, to the late William S. and Margaret Mary (Finucane) Norris. On December 21, 1946, in Chicago, Shirley married the love of her life, Arthur Schneider. For many years, she faithfully attended Reach Community Church in Montgomery City, MO. Shirley loved the Lord with all her heart, and was a prayer warrior. She was very handy and enjoyed gardening, sewing, and doing crafts. Shirley is survived by her loving family, her children, Linda (Jerry) Finley, Jeanne Schneider, Gail (Harry) Welton, Gary (Karen) Schneider, and Audrey (Mike) Hendee; brothers, Bob Norris and Russell Norris; grandchildren, Jerry (Jenny) Finley, Jr., Jeana (Chris) Meyer, Joshua (Mendy) Finley, Kendra (Tim) Murray, Dawn (Chris) Hayman, Kim (Donny) Thompson, Deena (Marty) Ensenberger, Robert (Jamie) Pratt, Jr., Keith (Andrea) Schneider, and Angela Schneider; a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Arthur Schneider; beloved grandson, Andrew Roy Schneider; sisters, Ethel Lawless and Jeanne Demopoulos; brothers, Bill Norris, Jim Norris, and Raymond Norris. Services will be private. Interment will take place at a later date in Montgomery City, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Shirley to Reach Community Church, 100 Chamber Rd., Montgomery City,  MO 63361.
