Scott Crain

Scott Crain, 45, of Gurnee, went home to be with the Lord on July 29, 2024. He was born December 28, 1978, in Stamford, CT. Scott is survived by his loving family, his parents, Martin and Lydia (Hayes) Crain; his sister, Allison Crain; aunt and uncle, Linda and Jerry Buckner; several cousins, extended family, and many close friends.

Scott was a lover of books and poems. He loved music and movies. Scott loved animals, especially dogs, but most of all, he loved people. His caring and compassionate nature touched the lives of so many over the years. He will be so very missed. Scott is now fully alive in the arms of Jesus. 

A memorial service will take place on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 12:00 noon, at Gurnee Community Church, 4555 Old Grand Avenue, Gurnee, IL with Rev. Chris Stephens officiating. A private family interment will be held at a later date at Millburn Cemetery. In Scott's loving memory, contributions may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at afsp.org
