Robert "Bob" Allen Wiedmann, 66, unexpectedly passed away the morning of July 9, 2022. He was born on September 12, 1955, in Milwaukee, WI, to the late Donald and Mary (Mishich) Wiedmann.
Bob was a wonderful husband to the love of his life Kathleen, an exceptionally proud and amazing father to his two wonderful children, Rachel & Jim. His love was like no other for his only grandson, Jackson. Bob was a great and passionate golfer, loved bowling and fishing out on his lake. Bob had the gift of gab and could light up an entire room with his HUGE presence, he always made sure he was known by all. He had many nicknames but he was most known by his friends and family as “Weeds” and most recently his favorite title of Grandpa Bob. He will be forever loved and missed by so many.
Likely the biggest personality in the room, Bob Wiedmann will never leave our thoughts. Some may still even hear echoes of “HUGE!” across the plains because Lord knows he was that loud. To the lover of Dire Straits, air guitar, a nice cold beer, and a rare hole-in-one, Bob will be incredibly missed.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Wiedmann; son, Jim Wiedmann; daughter, Rachel Wiedmann; grandson, Jackson; the mother of his children, Roni LaPelle; sisters, Diane (Dan) Vukovich, Pat (Frank) Mielke, and Sue (John) Northey; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Warren and Margaret Spalding; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue (Richard) Seay, Pat (Rick) Greaves, Marie (Mick) Burgett, Joyce (Mark) Duncan, Beach Spalding, Colleen (Andy) Kustowski; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to his wife, Kathleen Wiedmann, in loving memory of Bob, for a memorial to be placed at one of Bob's favorite golf courses in Tennessee.
A celebration of life is pending for a later date. Interment will be private. Arrangements entrusted to Sambrano Funeral & Cremation, Gurnee, IL. Please sign the guestbook at LauraSambranoFunerals.com; 847-571-7719.
