Robert "Bob" Johnson

Robert "Bob" Johnson, 91, of Wadsworth, passed away peacefully at home on February 8, 2021. He was born July 27, 1929, in Waukegan, to the late Volmer and Mary (Zuidweg) Johnson. On September 3, 1989, in Waukegan, Bob married Vonnie Stiles. Bob was the owner and operator of V. O. Johnson & Son Construction Company his entire life. He was a pilot, a collector of many things, loved the outdoors, was active in winter and water sports, including skiing and deep sea diving. Bob and Vonnie enjoyed traveling to Mexico, Israel and Europe. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Vonnie Johnson; five step-children, Ivan (Vickie) Fuller, Michal-Lynn (Russell) Jakala, Kimberly (Michael) Delaney, Tricia (John) Thodos, and Stephen (Zulma) Fuller; seventeen grandchildren, Natasha, Genevieve, MacKenzie, Ivan "Jack", Logan, Josie, R.J., Ryan, Jack, Grace, Dana, Daryn, Chris, Stephanie, Shannon, Brendan, and Maya; one adopted granddaughter, Nonny; three great grandchildren, Enzo, Elena, and Savannah; two sisters-in-law, Diane Border and Judy (Frank) Simon; two brothers-in-law, Donald "Bud" (Patty) Stiles and James (Peggy) Stiles; cousins, Mary Louise Sorensen, William Sorensen, Beverly Carlson, Jan (James) Sinclair, John (Sara) Sinclair, Lynn Fox, Leigh Feifer-Reisch, Michael Feifer, and Dr. Megan Feifer; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Dan Border. The family has requested NO FLOWERS please.
