Richard "Cowboy" Puckelwartz, 70, of Huntley, passed away suddenly Nov. 22, 2017 at home. He was born Feb. 12, 1947 in Chicago to the late Frank and Edith (nee Wilson) Puckelwartz. Ricky married Gloria on August 27, 2002 in Woodstock. He was a US Army Veteran serving during Vietnam. Ricky was a loving husband to Gloria Puckelwartz; a great father to Chris (Meg) Puckelwartz; an endearing grandfather to Jack Puckelwartz; a beloved brother to Tom "Sets" (Lynn) Puckelwartz; a very special friend to Kevin Lampton, who he loved as a son; uncle to Lisa (Brian) Naujokas, Cheryl Puckelwartz, Amy Puckelwartz, and many other special nieces and nephews; great uncle to two nieces and one nephew, and a treasured friend to many. Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017 from 1-6pm at Kolbus-May Funeral Home, 6857 W. Higgins Ave., Chicago. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Nov. 27, 2017 at 11:30am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Union Ridge Cemetery in Chicago. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Sambrano Funeral & Cremation, 4606 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee.
