Obituary
Ralph J. Sommers II, 78, passed away peacefully November 5, 2022. He was born November 17, 1943, in Glendale, CA to the late Ralph and Bertha (Ryley) Sommers. On April 8, 1966, in Chicago, Ralph married the love of his life, Marilyn Krenn.
Ralph retired in 1996, as a Yeoman in the United States Navy, after 31 years of service. He also worked for United Airlines for 10 years, and was a bricklayer by trade.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Marilyn Sommers; one son, Christopher (Jeanne) Sommers; one daughter, Jill Sommers; two grandsons, Clayton Sommers and Casey Sommers; brothers-in-law, Carlos Martinez and James (Amy) Ferguson; sister-in-law, Laura (James) Holesapple; and two nieces, Celerina (Steve) Miah and Soledad Martinez. In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Martinez; and his brother-in-law, Leonard Krenn.
