Novlette G. Anckle, age 84, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 6, 1940, to the union of Albert and Ercelee (Newell) Stephens in Clarendon, Jamaica. On November 14, 1962, Novlette married the love of her life, Rupert Anckle.
Novlette leaves to cherish her precious memory, her loving family; six children, Audrey Baker, Patricia (Lescene) Williams-Gallimore, Karline Anckle, Marlene (Rohan, Sr.) Stewart, Talbert (Charmaine) Anckle, and Marcine Anckle; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters, Deloris Rodriquez, Monica (Carl) Drummond, Doreen Stephens, Rama (Paulette) Pennant, Kevin Stephens, Sheldon (Latoya) Stephens, and Shelly (Jeffrey) Barry; two sisters-in-law, Hyacinth Stephens and Ketorah Stephens; her caregiver, Janet Turner; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. In addition to her parents, Novlette was preceded in death by her husband, Rupert Anckle; two beloved grandchildren, Nicole Stewart and Rohan Stewart, Jr.; three brothers, Milton Stephens, Taulton Stephens, and Arandel “Rickie” (the late Malinda) Stephens; and her son-in-law, Dennis Baker.
A visitation for Ms. Novlette G. Anckle will take place on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 5pm-8pm, at Ringa Funeral Home, 122 S. Milwaukee Avenue (Rt. 83), Lake Villa, IL; for more information, please call 847-571-7719. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 11am (visitation at church 10am-11am), at New Testament Church of God, 1001 10th Street, North Chicago, IL with Bishop Alton Bailey officiating.
