On November 8, 2019, Nancy (Taborsky) Diehl (b. October 12, 1947) of Ingleside, Illinois, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, whom she loved and served. She will be fondly remembered as a devoted wife to her husband of 50 years, Reverend Daniel Diehl; as a wonderful sister to Patricia (Randy) Hough and Rosalie (Mark) Modzelewski; as a loving mother to her four daughters; Melissa (Scott) Morrison, Jennifer (Jin) Sim, Carrie Diehl, and Rebecca (Nathan) Parsons; and as a caring grandmother and aunt to her 8 grandchildren and 8 nieces and nephews.
Nancy’s life exemplified the words of the Apostle Paul found in Philippians 1:20-21: “I eagerly expect and hope that...Christ will be exalted in my body whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.”
Despite suffering from a debilitating palsy the last few years of her life, she continued to attend Sunday services at her church, to serve in the Awana children’s ministry, and to host a Bible study in her home. Her friends and family are grateful for her legacy of faith and love.
In memory of Nancy Diehl, a visitation will be held at Indian Hill Bible Church, 36133 N. Fairfield Road, Ingleside, Illinois, on Tuesday, November 12, at 7 PM, followed by a celebration of her life at 7:30 PM. Memorial donations may be made to Indian Hill Bible Church, AWANA Children's Ministry. Arrangements entrusted to Sambrano Funeral & Cremation, Gurnee, Illinois.
