Mildred Sweeney Obituary

Mildred "Millie" Sweeney, 90, of Libertyville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Sunrise of Gurnee. She was born on November 26, 1930, in Chicago to the late Peter and Anastasia (Pinuta) Lakowski. Millie is survived by her four loving children, Jill Sweeney, Jennifer Sweeney, Warren (Jean) Sweeney, and Joe Sweeney (Cheryl Yachnin); and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bud Sweeney; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Bill Sluppick; son, James Sweeney; daughter, Maureen Sweeney; and grandson, Ethan Sweeney. Services and interment are private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North Chicago New Testament Church of God, 1001 10th Street, North Chicago, IL 60064.
