Michael Ross Runkle

Michael Ross Runkle, 69, of McHenry, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2018 at JourneyCare Hospice in Glenview. He was born Nov. 15, 1948 in Chicago. Michael was a US Air Force Veteran, titanium welder, guitarist and artist (stained glass, wire figures). He is survived by his son Anthony “Tony” Michael Runkle; his daughter Amy Katherine Runkle; former wife, friend, and mother of his children, Diane LeClair; brother, James (Donna Beer) Runkle; sister, Julia Luteen (Jeff) Jeffrey; niece, Diana Runkle, and nephew, Nicholas (Christine) Runkle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ross Edward and Lucille (Clune) Runkle, and sister, Susan Jane Runkle. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 1-4pm at AMVETS Post 66 located at 700 McHenry Road, Wheeling, IL, (847-537-0440). Interment will be private.
