Mathai M. Mathai

Mathai M. Mathai, 79, of Park City, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 13, 2019, at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was born on January 5, 1940, in India to the late Mathai Varkey and Mariamma Mathai. He is survived by his loving family; wife of 47 years, Annamma Mathai, whom he married on February 10, 1972, in India; two sons, Mathew "Vinu" (Sruthy) Mathai and Zachariah "Sunu" (Reeni) Mathew; five grandchildren, Swetha Mathai, Savin Mathai, Shreya Mathew, Abel Mathew and Aaron Mathew; one brother, M. M. (Mariamma) John; two sisters, Annamma John and Mariamma Mathai; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mathai was preceded in death by his three brothers. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019, from 5pm until 9 pm at Chicago Mar Thoma Church, 240 Potter Road, Des Plaines, IL. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, October 19, 2019, from 10 am until 12:30 pm with Rev. Shiby Varughese and Rev. George Varghese officiating.
