Mary Ann S. Poznanski, 86, of Grayslake, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2021, at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. She was born October 18, 1934, in Chicago to the late Henry and Sophie (Majka) Cabaj. On September 8, 1956, in Chicago, Mary Ann married Donald J. Poznanski. Mary Ann is survived by her loving family; her five children, Ralph (Michelle) Poznanski, Thomas (Vicky) Poznanski, Donna (Stephen) Weinert, Gregory (Maria) Poznanski, and Denise Golka; nine grandchildren, USMC GySgt Anthony, Lisa, Katie, Christopher, Jennifer, Stephen, William, Joseph, and Matthew; nine great grandchildren, Riley, Landon, Logan, Ryder, Cadence, Camden, Jenna, Amanda, and William; two brothers-in-law, Stan Rafacz and Frank Poznanski; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald J. Poznanski in 2002; one sister, Joan Rafacz; and one sister-in-law, Dottie Poznanski. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021, from 4-8pm, at Ringa Funeral Home, 122 S. Milwaukee Avenue, Lake Villa, IL. A funeral mass will take place on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 9am, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Gurnee, IL with Fr. Joe Curtis officiating (please meet directly at the church). Burial will follow at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum in Niles, IL. Arrangements entrusted to Sambrano Funeral & Cremation, Gurnee, IL.
