Luz Maria Cervantes De La Cruz

Luz Maria Cervantes De La Cruz, 75, of Waukegan passed away peacefully on October 4, 2021, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. She was born on May 24, 1946, in Jalisco, Mexico to the late Pedro De La Cruz and Guadalupe Nuño. On April 16, 1963 in Mexico, Luz married the love of her life, Carlos Cervantes. Luz is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 58 years, Carlos Cervantes; children, Juan C. (Kathryn V.) Cervantes, Maria (Hector) Ibarra, Rosita (Juan J.) Gonzalez, Martha A. (Luis M.) Figueroa, Rigoberto (Edith Salinas) Cervantes, Yolanda (Daniel) Dueñas, and Miguel A. Cervantes; grandchildren, Aileen, Oscar, Juan C. Jr., David, Holly, Antti, Noah, Jayden, Jiovany, Aydeelina, Xzavien, Rigo Jr., Daniel, Nicholas, Bryana, Dimitri, Elliana, Verenis, Luis M., and Natalie; and many great grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021, at 6:00 PM, at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, 624 Douglas Avenue, Waukegan. Interment will be private.
