Lee Charles Preusser

Lee Charles Preusser, 73, a longtime resident of Gurnee, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025. He was born on August 28, 1951, in Chicago to the late Melvin and Dorothy (Shaw) Preusser. On September 27, 1974, Lee married the love of his life, Donna Van Diggelen.

Lee was excited to retire from Abbott Laboratories/Abbvie & was able to spend a ton of time traveling and enjoying the slower (ha!) pace with Donna and family. Lee was also known to kick-up an unplanned pool party just for the heck of it.

Lee is survived by his loving family; his wife of 50 years, Donna Preusser; three children, Christa (Stephen) Price, Kelly Preusser, and Steven (Whitney) Preusser; two grandchildren, Colt and Spencer; one sister, Susan Maren; one brother, Robert "Bob" (Virginia) Preusser; three sisters-in-law, Carol (Paul) Moran, Debbie (John) Trischan, and Katie Van Diggelen; one brother-in-law, Clifford Brogmus; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law, Thomas "Tom" Maren, Carl Van Diggelen, Jr., and Andrew Van Diggelen; and one sister-in-law, Patti Brogmus.
