Kathleen M. Lukasiewicz

Kathleen M. Lukasiewicz, 73, of Vernon Hills, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 18, 2019, at Highland Park Hospital with her family by her side. She was born on June 5, 1945 in Chicago to the late John and Ann (DeHay) Kerwin. On May 8, 1971, in Franklin Park, Kathleen married the love of her life, Thomas S. Lukasiewicz. Kathleen loved the Lord with all her heart, and her passion was being a Special Education Teacher for more than 32 years. She is survived by her loving family; husband of 47 years, Tom; daughter and best friend, Sarah Lukasiewicz; brother, John (Rosie) Kerwin; sister, Colleen (David) Schnizer, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her brother, Brian Kerwin. Services are private. Arrangements entrusted to Sambrano Funeral & Cremation, Gurnee; 847-571-7719.
