Juan Roman Martinez Gil, 53, of Des Plaines, IL passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at home surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born on November 9, 1965, in Mexico City, Mexico. He is survived by his loving wife, Leonor Martinez; parents, Amado Martinez Morales and Lucero Gil Benitez; three children, Stephanny Grethel Martinez Correa, Luis Roman Martinez Correa and Samantha Martinez Correa; siblings, Edgar Martinez Gil, Hugo Martinez Gil, Monica Belen Martinez Gil and Dante Martinez Gil; nieces, Priscila Franco Martinez and Tabatha Barajas Martinez; and many friends. Visitation will be Monday, June 10, 2019, from 6-8pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 411 N. O'Plaine Road, Gurnee, IL. Visitation and funeral services will also take place on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, from 10:30am-1:30pm at the church with Bishop Carlos Suaste officiating. Burial will follow at Millburn Cemetery.
