Jerome "Wally" Juravic, 80, of Park City, passed away June 1, 2020, at Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago. He was born April 24, 1940, in Chicago to the late Frank and Nellie (Benjamin) Juravic. On April 7, 1971, in Tokyo, Japan, Wally married the love of his life, Yoshiko Abe. Wally loved the Lord, reading his Bible, and was a member of the Village Church of Gurnee. He retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service. Wally enjoyed traveling, classical music, and musical movies. He is survived by his loving family; wife of 50 years, Yoshiko Juravic; two sons, Kenji (Monica) Juravic and Frank (Anna Marie Gurney) Juravic; three grandchildren, Maria Juravic, Kenzo Juravic, and Douglas Halvorsen; one sister, Lois Black; two brothers, Frank (Diane) Juravic, Jr. and Paul (Mona) Juravic; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Wally was preceded in death by his brother, Neal Juravic, and brother-in-law, Steve Black. Due to the current COVID situation, the interment and memorial service have been postponed. Please check back for updated information.
