Jeffrey "Jeff" Erickson Obituary

In loving memory of Jeffrey "Jeff" Paul Erickson, aged 71, who peacefully passed away on June 6, 2024. Born on July 25, 1952, in Rockford, IL, to the late Paul and Greta (Wongstrom) Erickson.

Jeff dedicated his entire career to serving the Federal Government, beginning with his proud service in the United States Navy and continuing as a civilian Officer Recruiting Specialist with the Department of Navy, retiring after an esteemed 49 years of combined service. A lifelong passion for music led him to membership in the Kilties Drum and Bugle Corps and the Kingsman Drum and Bugle Corps. Jeff also held a deep interest in American Wars from the Civil War to WWII, which made his passing on the anniversary of D-Day particularly poignant.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Theresa "Terri" Erickson; his loving children, Hans (Britney) Erickson, Aaron (Morgan) Erickson, and Caitlin Erickson; cherished grandchildren, Andon, Hannah, Alice, and Lucy Erickson; beloved brothers, Todd (Susan), Van (Nancy), Lance (Karen), and Jon (Susan) Erickson; caring brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry Erickson St. Angel, Nick (Dixie) Aull, Greg (Marla) Aull, Cathy (Ray) Kalis, and Maggie Permer; as well as numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He is also survived by his faithful companion, Murphy, the latest in a line of loyal family dogs. Jeff was preceded in death by his brother, Kent Erickson, and brother-in-law, Mike Permer.
