Janet Elaine Tatgenhorst

Janet Elaine Tatgenhorst, 79, of Homewood, IL, passed away February 6, 2021, at Generations at Apple Wood in Matteson, IL. She was born July 23, 1941, in Blue Island, IL to the late Clyde, Sr. and Dorothy (Schultz) Blair. On June 13, 1964, in Homewood, IL, Janet married Alan Louis Tatgenhorst. Janet is survived by her sister, Sharon (Robert Carlson) Nolan; sister-in-law, Rosemarie Blair; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ted and Margie Tatgenhorst; three nephews and one niece. In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Alan Louis Tatgenhorst, who passed away December 16, 2020; one brother, Clyde Blair, Jr.; two sisters, Marilyn (and her husband Victor) VanKanegan and Carol (and her husband Cecil) Cheney; and three nephews. An interment is pending and will be held at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, 4247 183rd Street, Country Club Hills, IL; please check back for the day and time of services.
