James "Jim" L. Regenauer, Sr., 80, of Waukegan, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 at home. He was born February 11, 1937 in Shell Lake, WI. Jim was a member of the Wise Guys Race Team at the Great Lakes Drag Away in Union Grove, WI for over 30 years, and also a United States Navy Veteran stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Base. He is survived by his three children, Patricia A. Eagon of Waukegan, Wendy (David) Bereczky of Waukegan and James L., Jr. (Julie) Regenauer of California; seven grandchildren, James (Candace) Eagon, Bryan Eagon, Andrew Eagon, Justin (Michele) Bereczky, Ryan Bereczky, Nicholas Regenauer, and Amanda Regenauer; seven great grandchildren, Gabriel, Angel, Anthony, Angelina, David, Jonathan, and Giana; three brothers, Marvin (Bonnie) Regenauer of Franklin, WI, Steve Regenauer of Texas, Dale (Elaine) Regenauer of Milwaukee, WI, and many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lucille (Ernst) Regenauer; beloved wife who passed away in 1962, Mildred Ann Regenauer, and one sister, Marion Regenauer.
