We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Jaclyn Anne Sroka, 40, on June 10, 2025, at home. She was born August 3, 1984, in Waukegan. Jackie was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, godmother, granddaughter, niece and friend to many. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
Jackie was an artist and enjoyed painting and coloring. She loved the sun and being outdoors, and loved pool days, especially out East at her Grandparents’. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her nephew and nieces, watching movies and creating art. Jackie had a good sense of humor and always like to share a laugh, and was also comfortable sharing her opinions. Jackie had love for all the dogs she had in her life and taking walks. She was also well respected at work and was an expert in her field.
Jackie is survived by her loving parents, Alan and Joanne (Schultz) Sroka; brothers and sisters-in-law, Don (Katey) Sroka and Mikey (Casey) Sroka; nephew and nieces, Benjamin, Sophie, Molly and Ruby Sroka; maternal grandparents, Don and Barb Schultz; aunts and uncles, Diane (Doug Applebaugh) Schultz, Jim (Marcia) Sroka, Dave Schultz, Steve (Kate) Schultz and Mark Magda; numerous cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Mary Sroka; her aunts, Christine (Schultz) Magda and Mary (Sroka) Schroetter; uncle and godfather, David Schroetter Sr.; cousin, Brian Sroka.
A private family service and interment will take place at Ascension Catholic Cemetery, Libertyville, IL. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
