Howard J. Thornton, 85, of Waukegan, passed away September 5, 2020, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. He was born May 3, 1935, in Roseville, MI. Howard was a United States Navy Veteran. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Hronn Thornton; children, Adrian Brown, Bernadette (Brian) Stout, Roland Thornton, Nina Venisnik, and Johann (Izabella) Stefnis; grandson, Drew Venisnik, and other grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by his two sisters. Services and interment are private. Arrangements entrusted to Sambrano Funeral & Cremation, Gurnee.
