Howard Lee Johnson

Howard Lee Johnson, 79, passed away February 20, 2023. He was born May 19, 1943, in Empire, Alabama to the late Edgar and Dorothy (Richards) Johnson. On September 21, 1963, in Chicago, Howard married the love of his life, Joy Lou Redden.

Howard is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joy Lou Johnson; two sons, Curtis Johnson and Gregory Johnson; six grandchildren, Chantelle, Andrew, Edward, Nicole, Gregory, and Rihanna; two sisters, Patricia Johnson and Mae Drennen; his sister-in-law, Betty Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by his baby son, David Lee Johnson; his brother, Jimmy Johnson; and his brother-in-law, Elmer Drennen.
