Herbert "Herb" Charles Schulz, 74, of Antioch, passed away December 31, 2020, at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. He was born October 31, 1946, in Chicago to the late Arthur Gustav and Leona Minnie (nee Millies) Schulz. On April 29, 1972, in Paxton, IL, Herb married the love of his life, Gerrie Storm. Following aviation school at Southern Illinois University, Herb flew helicopters in the Army National Guard. He continued to fly as a a corporate pilot for Keystone, Staley, and Grainger for 30 years. He left the skies to pursue a second interest in technology at ABT Electronics for another 18 years. His retirement included traveling with Gerrie, boating, fishing, and spending time with family. His smile, stories, and memory are forever in our hearts. Herb is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Gerrie Schulz; two children, Heather Lee (Marc Hall) Schulz-Hall and Erik Charles (Lauren) Schulz; one granddaughter, Sydney Elizabeth Schulz; sister-in-law, Francine Schulz; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Alan Le and Daryl Storm; two nieces, Jennifer (Patrick) Regan and Tamara (Scott) Riebe. In addition to his parents, Herb was preceded in death by one brother, Arthur Herbert Schulz. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Please check back for updated service information.
