Grace Marie Vogt, 93, of Grayslake, IL passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 14, 2024. She was born on September 26, 1930, in Chicago, IL to the late Joseph and Hazel (Arrand) Vogt.
Grace earned a Masters Degree in English Literature from DePaul University, and taught for many years in grade schools up through community college. She was a longtime member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Gurnee, the RALC: Republican Assembly of Lake County, and a Pro-Life Republican.
Grace is survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her siblings, her infant sister, Mary Delores Vogt, Joseph Vogt, Phillip Vogt, Andrew Vogt, Caroline Dombrowski, and Petronella Monbrod.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 10am, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6401 Gages Lake Rd., Gurnee, IL. The principal celebrant will be Fr. Charles Klamut, the concelebrant will be Fr. Chris Ciaston, and the deacon and homilist will be Deacon Bob Birck. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery in Alsip, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul the Apostle, Gurnee, Illinois.
