Glenna Ann Hippensteel went home to be with the Lord on April 20, 2026. She was born on August 4, 1931, in Escanaba, Michigan to Glenn and Doris Fallmer. Glenna was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Donald Eugene Hippensteel. Their enduring union spanned 71 years, characterized by a lifetime of mutual love.
Glenna embodied an era of timeless elegance and domestic devotion. She was the heartbeat of the household, finding joy with her husband’s success and her boy’s happiness. She viewed being a wife and a mother as her sacred calling. She took immense pride in keeping our home as a sanctuary, where the order of the house was perfect, and a homemade meal the cornerstone of everyday. Glenna was an exceptional baker- in our latter years taking great joy when both her boys would return home to make the perfect Coconut Cream Pie.
Where domestic devotion was her forever legacy, Glenna’s earlier years was that of a professional athlete. As a skater for the renowned “Ice Capades,” she brought so much joy to audiences throughout the United States- performing in dazzling productions alongside a grand, choreographed cast. Yet unless asked, you might never know—she carried her past with quiet grace, elegance, and humility.
Glenna is survived by her two children; Bill (Susan) Hippensteel and Scott (Kathy) Hippensteel, five grandchildren; Brian (Shannon) Hippensteel, Jena (Andrew) Henderson, Ashley (Robert) Haines, Brittany (Eric) Monreal, Ashley (Alex) Snowberger. She was blessed with four great grandchildren: James Henderson, Olivia Haines, Emma Monreal, and Avery Snowberger. She is also survived by nephew, Sean Fallmer and his wife Amy, and children Rory, Will and Sean Patrick.
We miss you, Mom. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure.
