Genie Hopkins was born in 1956. When she was a young teen, her mother met and married, Frank Roger Qual, who was a positive influence in her life, and became the father-figure she needed.
Genie was a career oriented, hard worker who still took time to enjoy life. She spent time with her friends bowling, shooting pool, and traveling the globe. Once she met her soul-mate, Keith James Kennedy, her interests expanded to include snowmobiling and motorcycles. On his motorcycle, they made the "obligatory" trip to Sturgis, and explored much of the country.
Genie has a successful career in the corporate world. She retired in 2021, to care for her mother, Wilma Qual.
Services and interment are private. Arrangements entrusted to Sambrano Funeral & Cremation, Gurnee, Illinois. You may sign the online guestbook at LauraSambranoFunerals.com; 847-571-7719.
