Gail Welton, age 73, of Lindenhurst, IL passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, surrounded by her family and the presence of the Lord she loved so deeply.
She was the beloved wife of Harry Welton; devoted and loving mother of Dawn (Chris) Hayman, Kim (Donny) Thompson, Deena (Marty) Ensenberger, and Bob (Jamie) Pratt; and loving stepmother to Hillary Ceaserone.
Gail was a proud and joy-filled grandmother and great-grandmother who treasured every moment spent with her family. She was a dear sister to Linda (Jerry) Finley, Jeanne Schneider, Gary (Karen) Schneider, and Audrey (Mike) Hendee; and a special aunt, cousin, sister-in-law, and friend to many—especially to her faithful prayer partner and best friend, Sue Wimmer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Shirley Schneider, and her first husband, Robert J. Pratt.
Gail committed her life to following Jesus in her early twenties and built her life on a deep and abiding faith. That faith shaped the way she loved, served, and cared for others. After raising her children, she returned to college and earned her degree in Business from Concordia University. She went on to work as a Quality Control Engineer for Abbott Laboratories, where her kindness and integrity were evident to all.
Gail found great joy in being with family and friends, supporting her church community, and blessing others in countless quiet ways. She loved to travel, create beautiful crafts, and pour her love into every gathering and celebration.
Her legacy of love, prayer, and faith touched everyone who knew her and will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
