Donna Lorraine Reid

Donna Lorraine Reid, 91, of Gurnee, IL, formerly of Freeport, IL, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2022, at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. She was born on February 15, 1931, in Kewanee, IL to the late Albert Julius Gustav and Gladys Mathilda (Ericson) Gutschlag. On July 21, 1951, in Kewanee, IL, Donna married the love of her life, John G. Reid. Donna is survived by her loving family; her son, Michael John Reid; her daughter, Karen Kay Beck; three grandchildren, Amanda (Will Smiley) Beck, Samantha (Shane) Skinner, and Alexander Philip Reid; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joseph M. (Judy) Reid, and their four children; niece, Ruth Lewis; and nephew, Gregg Gutschlag. In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her beloved husband of forty years, John G. Reid; three brothers, Wilbur, Roy and Wayne Gutschlag; daughter-in-law, Joanna Marie Reid; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dale (Beverly) Reid and Richard (Mary Lou) Reid; and nephew, Dennis Gutschlag. A graveside service and burial will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Freeport City Cemetery, 902 W. Lincoln Blvd., Freeport, IL.
