David L. Pierce

David L. Pierce, 83, of Winthrop Harbor, passed away December 16, 2023, at home. He was born November 20, 1940, in Elyria, OH to the late Stephen and Kathryn (Grugel) Pierce. On May 27, 1988, Dave married Karen Foor.

Dave is survived by his loving wife of 35 years (together for 40 years), Karen Pierce; three children, Deanna (Michael) Hay, Joseph (Carla) Malenfant, and Kayla (Timur Irlin) Hendricks; six grandchildren, Logan Hay, Abigail Grahan, Karly Malenfant, Payton Hendricks, James Hendricks, and Neo Irlin; one sister, Diane (Scott) Klein; and his beloved dog, Maddie.

Dave loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In his younger days, he owned a sailboat, enjoyed sailing, and playing tennis.
