Colin Carroll, 68, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 18, 2022. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland on April 13, 1954, to Colin Henry McKay and Isabella Hamilton (Wright) Carroll. On June 11, 1994, Colin married the love of his life, Linda Hedgepeth. 

Colin is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Linda H. Carroll; son, Ian Andrew Carroll; daughter, Morgan Ashley Carroll; mother, Isabella Carroll; grandchildren, Luna Carroll and Ashlee Carroll; father-in-law, Robert E. (Jan Kiser) Hedgepeth; uncle, William (Catherine) Wright; brother-in-law, Bruce (Cindy) Hedgepeth; niece, Kate (Brett) Coston and their son, Walker Coston; cousins, Billy (Sheila) Wright and their children, and Julie (Kevin) Patrick and their children; the Des Plaines Fire Department family, the Village Church of Gurnee family, the Immanuel Church family, and many more relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Colin Henry McKay Carroll; his mother-in-law, Eileen Lewis Hedgepeth; and nephew, William Hedgepeth.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 10am (with visitation from 9am-10am) at Village Church of Gurnee, 1319 N. Hunt Club Rd., Gurnee with Pastor David Giese, Pastor Brandon Smith, and Pastor Bryan Bicket officiating. Interment will be private.
