Claudia Hernandez de Velez

Claudia Hernandez de Velez, 62, of Waukegan passed away January 15, 2026. She was born August 23, 1963, in Mexico to the late Emilio Hernandez and Alberta Ocampo. 

Claudia is survived by her two loving children, William Velez and Claudia Hernandez; as well as many extended family and friends. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 508 Grand Avenue, Waukegan, IL. A funeral mass will take place on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 12:00 pm at church following the visitation. Interment will be private at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL.
