Chayse James-Thomas Mumford, 17, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with hydrocephalus. He was born on April 3, 2000 in Evanston Hospital in Evanston. Chayse leaves to cherish his loving memory, his devoted parents, Kenneth Michael and Jami Lee (Buski) Mumford; sister, Rikki (Robert) Clemons; brothers, Michael Rios and Blayke Mumford; nephews and niece, Carter, Declan and Cameron Clemons; maternal grandmother, Mary Jane "Toni" (Donald) Audino; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Mumford; grandparents, LeRoy and Brenda Zobel and Lon and Marcia Schulmeister; aunts and uncles, Wade (Luis Casavantes) Zobel, Dani Zobel, Bryan (Kaitlyn) Zobel, Vince (Monique) Zobel, Kay (Paul Berry) Mumford, Steven Mumford, Laura Calhoun, Linda Mumford, Edward Mumford and Susan Mumford; many cousins, friends, caregivers, nurses and doctors. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Thomas Lee Buski; paternal grandfather, Robert Eugene Mumford, Sr. and uncle, Robert Eugene Mumford, Jr. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm at Indian Hill Bible Church, 36133 N. Fairfield Rd., Ingleside, IL. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm at the church. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made to his family or Make-A-Wish Illinois, 640 N. A celebration of Chayse's life will take place on Saturday, May 13, 2017 starting at 4:30 pm at the N.A.C. Club, 264 Lippencott, Fox Lake, IL.
