Obituary
Carmen Hernandez, 77, of Waukegan, went home to be with the Lord July 24, 2023, at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital, with her family by her side. She was born January 16, 1946, in Mexico to the late Manuel Alfaro and Antonia Pantoja.
Carmen is survived by her loving family, her husband of more then 50 years, Jose Hernandez; four children, Lupita Hernandez, Manuel (Omaira) Hernandez, Gerardo (Rosy) Hernandez, and Javier Hernandez; grandchildren, Angel Sepulveda, Erika (Daniel Suarez) Sepulveda, Rosy Vidal, Alex Hernandez, Alan Hernandez, Sheccid Hernandez, Eli Hernandez, Xochilt Hernandez, Sheila Hernandez, Fabio Arreola, Jacquelyn Arreola, Giselle Sanchez, Roxana Sanchez and Anthony Hernandez; great grandchildren, Alexia, Annie and David Sepulveda, Tinito, Ethan and Viviana Suarez, and Azariah Hernandez; and many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, from 3-5pm at Iglesia Evangelica Bautista Emanuel, 1300 10th Street, Waukegan, IL. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, July 29, 2023, 5pm at church with Pastor Jesse Padilla officiating. Interment will be private.
