Billy Joe Arnold, age 56, of Waukegan, was born on March 10, 1961 in Newport, AR, and went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, IL. He enjoyed working on cars, basketball, playing darts, dominoes, chess, checkers, and shooting pool. He was known to family and friends as Billy 'Bruce Lee" Arnold for his love of Martial Arts and his black belt title. Billy leaves to cherish his loving memory, his mother, Willie R. Arnold (Mama Bonnie); 6 children, Talyssa Bradshaw, Adrian Bradshaw, Adriana Bradshaw, Markus Keys, William Keys, Sr. and Malkia Keys; 1 sister, Mary Beard; 2 nieces and 1 nephew, Kizzy Arnold, Wess Arnold and Terrice Beard; longtime loving companion and mother of his 3 youngest children, Yulonda Keys; close friend and mother of his 3 oldest children, Kelly Bradshaw; 8 grandchildren, Lyric Robinson, King Bradshaw, Ji'air Keys, Adairus Keys, Jeremiah Keys, Ka'Shiya Keys, Brooklyn Bradshaw, and William Keys, Jr.; aunts and uncles, Joyce Carter, Janice Carter, Herbert Carter, Bobby Carter, Milton Carter, Jr., and Clemmie Carter; 1 great niece and 4 great nephews; a host of cousins, extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobbie G. Arnold; maternal grandparents, Milton and Alice Carter, Sr.; aunt, Peggy Runyon, and uncle, Otis Arnold. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 10am-11am at Jesus Name Apostolic Church, 150 S. Genesee St., Waukegan, IL. Funeral services will take place at 11am at church following the visitation with Pastor John I. Caples officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion, IL. Repast will take place at church after the burial. Memorial donations may be made in Billy's honor to his family, in care of his aunt, Joyce Carter or niece Kizzy Arnold.
