Barbara Aull

Barbara Aull, 87, of Lindenhurst, went home to be with the Lord March 12, 2021, at home. She was born October 6, 1933, in Evanston to the late John and Sophie (Blatt) Brosius. On May 4, 1957, in Skokie, Barbara married the love of her life, Robert Aull, who passed away in 2004.

Barbara enjoyed going to the Botanic Gardens. She loved gardening, and instilled these values in her children and grandchildren. She was an amazing cook, seamstress, and very skilled with arts and crafts.

Barbara is survived by her five loving children, Theresa “Terri” (Jeff) Erickson, Nick (Dixie) Aull, Greg (Marla) Aull, Catherine “Cathy” (Ray) Kalis, and Margaret “Maggie” Permer; sister-in-law, Marilyn Aull; beloved grandmother to thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Barbara was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Michael Permer; sister, Rita Girard; brother-in-law, Dick Aull; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Margaret and Don Bohac.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at 11am, at Village Church of Gurnee, 1319 N. Hunt Club Rd., Gurnee; visitation from 10-11am prior to the service at the church with Pastor David Giese officiating. A private family burial will be held at All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Des Plaines with Pastor Brandon Smith officiating.
