Andrew Sexton Obituary

Andrew (Drew) H. Sexton, a resident of Zion, IL, died unexpectedly on March 8, 2018 at the age of 57. Drew is survived by his parents; Marilyn and Ted Karas; sister, Wanda Block; Nephews, Marcus Block and Alex Ridley; Nieces, Megan Block, Amelia Ridley and Anna Ridley ; Aunts, Annabelle Linewebber, Earlene Lord, Eleanor (Sexton) Epker and Shara (Sexton) Cofield;  Uncles, John Ridley, John Sexton and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his Father, Fredrick Ridley; Sister, Sharon Ridley; Grandmothers, Frieda Ridley and Mary (Sexton) Houchens; Grandfathers, William Ridley and James Andrew Sexton. Drew was born in Kenosha Wisconsin on June 1, 1960 to Fred and Marilyn (Sexton) Ridley. He was a graduate of Harvard University. Drew was very active in historical preservation. He enjoyed genealogy and antiquing.  He was an active member of his church.  He was employed at Captain James A. Lovell Federal Healthcare Center at Great Lakes. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. There will be a memorial visitation of his life held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 11:00 am at Zion Church of God, 2700 Eschol Avenue, Zion, IL with Pastor Jeff Becker officiating. You may meet with Drew's family from 10:00 am until the service time at 11:00 am at the church on Saturday, June 16, 2018. Lunch will follow the service at the church at 12:00 noon. Burial will take place at Mt.Olivet Memorial Park in Zion on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 1:30 pm, all are welcome to attend.
