James "Jim" H. Streicher

James “Jim” H. Streicher, 89, lifelong resident of Gages Lake, IL, passed away Dec. 11, 2018, at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. He was born June 13, 1929, in Chicago. On Sept. 21, 1956 in Libertyville, IL, Jim married Babe Marie Thatcher. Jim was the owner and operator from 1961-1997 of LindenTexaco Oil Company which later became Linden 76 in Lindenhurst, IL. He was the Grand Marshal of the 2016 Linden Fest Parade. He is survived by his loving children, Dale (Ruth) Streicher and Denise (Thomas) Foley; grandson, Nathan (Amy) Foley; great granddaughter, Eva Foley; brother, Robert (Joan) Streicher, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry “Hank” and Marie “Mae” (Roeske) Streicher; first wife and mother of his children, Babe Streicher; second wife, Gloria Streicher; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dolores (Thomas) Nadelhoffer and Joanne (Robert) Brainard. Friends may meet with the family on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018 from 10:00 am until services at 1:00 pm at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 15000 Wadsworth Rd., Wadsworth, IL with Fr. James Merold officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Libertyville, IL.
