Susie transitioned to full time professional roles at American Hospital Supply, Baxter, DuPont, and MG Design. She earned her Associate’s degree from College of Lake County. After retiring from full time work, she worked part time at Target as a Pharmacy Technician, until retiring completely in 2012. She was active at Bethel Lutheran Church. In her spare time, she liked to bowl, play bingo, host card and bunco clubs, read romance novels, and travel. She is survived in this life by Raymond Young, her husband of 56 years. She is also survived by her 5 children: Paul (Lori) Young of Waukegan, Penny (Philip) Lefavour of Bothell, WA, Philip (Yvonne) Young of Grayslake, Peter (Sarah) Young of Glenpool, OK, Anthony “Tony” Young of Gurnee, and 8 grandchildren.
